A YouTube collab..?

October 7th. My brother’s birthday.
I opened our email. This is something I do almost every day first thing whenever my man walks Fannar in the park. His watch app automatically sends an email whenever he starts an activity with a link that directs me to his live location. The park isn’t a place we enjoy and this was confirmed the hard way about a month ago. Where we normally already are anxious for busy places, dogs off leash whose owners think it means their dog run towards others and, frankly, humans in general, it’s now reached an entire new level where we literally can’t trust anyone with a dog. At all. Unleashed OR leashed, as the latter proved: my man got attacked back in early September after lifting Fannar, who literally would’ve been killed otherwise. After warning dog owners on Facebook and contacting the rozzers later that day, we learned that this dude and his dog are very much known in both the park AND with the authorities…
Anyway, it’s not why I’m writing this, even though my ADD brain believes otherwise… 🙄
Where I normally ignore all other emails that we’ve received until later in the day, this morning my eye immediately fell onto the words “Louis” and “Cole”.
I continued reading the few sentences that are visible without opening the email. “Louis Cole’s survey Follow-up. Hi Nat, I noticed that you took the time to fill out Louis Cole’s survey a few weeks ago….”.
It was sent by Louis Cole (‘s team).
My first thoughts were: “ah yes, has it been a few weeks only..? It seems much longer. I can’t even remember my answers. Oh jeez, I forgot to log in with my Google account afterwards – the filled out survey was never saved for me to read ever again..! Anyway, they must’ve sent all participants a thank you letter of some sort and to let almost everyone know that they were not selected…”.
I opened the email and expected a confirmation of my thoughts.
“- thank you!” Yup, that’s it.
“We’re impressed by your responses and Louis wanted me to personally extend a…” Yes, very kind of them to deal with the “losers” this way. Didn’t expect that :⁠-⁠)
“…special invitation to you!”. Oh eh, okay, I’m wondering where this is leading to..?
“You’re one of a select few who have been hand-selected to join Louis Cole’s new exclusive program.” Ay…?
